CONSTANTINE AND CHRISTIANITY

Constantine’s Sword! The last of the Pagan Roman Emperors gives obscure Jewish sect it’s credentials. With the edict goes the fusing of Old and New Testaments. At its center is the Jewish Rabbi, JESUS. But who, exactly was this devout Hebrew Cleric? A conference is held at direction of Constantine where Jesus, it is agreed, is the recognized divinity. The SON of GOD. Period. And so it remains after the passage of 1700 years. And of that, I am adamantly convinced. No! Not from this, as I have been labeled, “devout liberal,” can such a certainty be announced.
Do I meet the means test of a Neo-Evangelical minister from the southern bible to be a “acceptable“, in his view, Christian? I hope not. History has showed us that the truth can be revealed from those least likely to do so. In Constantine’s case for the sake of political expediency. The aim of these Neo-Evangelical’s is to become mainstream. They have said as much. Research the events at the Air Force Academy during the start of George Bush’s second term. The issue being should there continue to be a separation of Church and State? With the absence of a Constitutional Amendment, this can not happen. Despite the fact that George would have it so. Have the Evangelical’s yet recognized the fact that their future is not with the President or like thinking individuals in their political machine. I can’t remember the name but there will be a 23 year old GOP congressman from Illinois sworn in with the new congress. An interesting creature from that which I have heard, from him.

THE EVANGELICALS

In a effort to better understand the pathology to becoming a conservative ideologue, I watched two documentaries that exposed the religious aspect of that process. The first was entitled “ Jesus Camp.” Produced in 2004 it revealed their game plan of exposing the Evangelical-Pentecostal movement that was so instrumental in re-electing George Bush to the office of the Presidency. Those having seen it will recall the composition of the children who participated as being of all racial groups in this boot camp of indoctrination to it’s theme. Theses children ranged in age from as young as 4 to as old as 16. What I witnessed was a mind altering, emotional, speaking in tongues, and yes, “cultish” appearance. The camps drill instructor was a middle age female southern Pentecostal minister. She evoked the dangers of exposing the youth to Harry Potter and the likelihood of her image appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine as being her ardent wish. In the documentary there appeared a Colorado Evangelical Minister named Haggard who announced the defeat of liberalism from the pulpit of his “Mega Church,” a congregation consisting of more than 2000 members. He continued by announcing that the Evangelical movement was the fastest growing in the World. A new “Mega Church” opens it’s doors every 48 hours across the globe. With George W. Bush as it’s standard bearer. The minister named Haggard, it was revealed at the credits at the end of the documentary, resigned in shame after it was revealed he had been in an affair with a male escort for a significant number of years. In next blog I will tell about the documentary “Constantine’s Sword.” I think you will agree it’s content is eye opening about the Anti-Semitic charge leveled at today’s 2 billion plus Christian’s.

PETITION WHO?

The launch of this attempt at blogging occurred this day after Thanksgiving when somehow I found myself at this site called Townhall.com. I had not yet had my cup of morning coffee and was rendered dumbstruck when I saw this response to another posting that demanded that the president-elect produce documents substantiating his U.S. Citizenship. This home-schooled, half-spun nit wit was suggesting visitor’s sign a petition demanding the same. Perhaps they should seek the current presidents counsel on whose watch three Saudi terrorists slammed into the twin towers. Are you serious? I thought not. I understand that the president-elect is ordering that the entire fleet of presidential limousines be painted half white and the other black. This is the beginning of the age of “you gotta be kiddin’ me.” More to come after I read some more of these thought provoking posts.
